Italian author Gabriele Gobbo has published the English-language edition of Digitalosophy: An Italian Perspective on Our Digital Age, now available on Amazon. The hardcover book brings thirty years of observation in digital culture to English-language readers, exploring the digital life most people already inhabit every day, often without fully understanding it.

Digitalosophy covers digital communication, social media, online reputation, cybersecurity, advertising, children and screens, and the growing pressure to stay connected at all times. The book offers a way of looking at the systems that already shape attention, trust, relationships, work, and everyday behavior. No productivity tips, no behavioral hacks, no digital detox.

The perspective is Italian. Italy watched the digital age arrive from a distance, with a culture that has always asked technology to justify itself to human life rather than the other way around. That distance produces a different set of questions, and those questions are what the book is built around.

The book introduces several concepts from Gobbo's work. Digital Sleepwalkers describes people who navigate technology with apparent fluency but without real awareness of how the systems around them work. Social Zombing, a term co-created with Max Guadagnoli in 2021, describes coordinated digital attacks designed to damage personal reputation by exploiting platform anti-fake systems. The book also argues for a Back to Home Strategy: the position that a website is the only digital space an individual or organization actually owns.

Digitalosophy is for people who use technology every day and feel that digital life has become too important to be lived on autopilot. Parents, educators, freelancers, professionals, and anyone who works, communicates, or raises children online will find the book directly relevant.

The foreword is written by Marco Camisani Calzolari, strategic communication advisor and AI governance expert based in New York City, who has worked on digital policy and AI risk for more than 35 years and has delivered keynotes at the United Nations and the UK Parliament.

Digitalosophy is the English-language edition of Digitalogia, originally published in Italy in 2025, expanded and adapted by the author for international readers. The Italian edition drew early attention in Italy after reaching No. 1 in four Amazon Italy categories in its first months after publication.
